Part 2
Lies I’ve Told Myself to Make Me Feel Better
Lying to Yourself Never Results in Anything Positive
Yesterday I wrote an article about the lies I’ve told myself that have kept me prisoner — and how God broke that cycle in my life. Today, I wanted to share about the lies I’ve told myself to make me feel better. I needed to realize that lying to myself never amounted to any positive results.
Do you lie to yourself?
James E. Faust wrote, “Honesty is more than not lying. It is truth telling, truth speaking, truth living, and truth loving.” This statement gave me pause. Is there a difference between truth telling and truth speaking? Telling and speaking sounds the same to me. I read online that telling can be classified as giving someone new information while speaking is having a conversation. I love the part of Faust’s statement about living and loving the truth.
Do you live the truth? Do you love the truth?
