Good article. Thank you for being honest and sharing your journey. I think that will be helpful to new Medium writers. I joined in March 2020 and the first two weeks were hard because I was learning the platform and figuring out what works best.

Once I started submitting to publications, my views increased. I was happy to start to get accepted to publications after week two. Some of my favorites are Illumination, Koinonia, Warm Hearts, The Start Up, Better Marketing, P.S. I Love You, and The Ascent.

I’ve written over 100 articles in two months and only two got curated, one in Better Marketing and one in P.S. I Love You. I hope that is encouraging to you. It takes time. Sure, some people get curated right away, but that is not the normal way it happens for most writers here. However, if you love to write and want to connect with other readers and writers, this is a great place to publish your work — and hopefully increase your earnings as you go.
