3 Reasons Why I Love My Topic List Notebook

And Why You Should Use One Too!

I’ve been a freelance writer for over 20 years. I love writing for clients and getting paid for those content projects. I’ve been writing on Medium for a much shorter time, since 2020. I have grown to love this platform. It’s been a great creative outlet for me, and I’ve been able to make some money at the same time.

I usually write 5 articles per week for Medium. That’s all I have time for since I have other paid writing projects. However, writing those 5 articles is fun for me. But, when I first started in 2020, it was difficult to think about topics to write for these weekly articles. I felt like I was wasting time sitting at my laptop each day during the week trying to figure out what to write about.

Then I had a brainstorm! I decided to start a topic list notebook.

Writing in this topic list has been a huge help in increasing my productivity level on Medium during the week. I also started using this topic list for one of the content creation companies — Constant Content — that I submit articles to for listing in their online sale catalog.
